Inspiration

We saw how you could make money through renting items instead of places. We channeled that drive into an app, which you're viewing - right now.

What it does

Bloom is a marketplace where you can put up anything for rent and rent anything (almost).

How we built it

We used NextJS, Firebase, and Stripe

Challenges we ran into

It was quite difficult to use Stripe; that took a while to figure out.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of getting Stripe to work; it was new to all of us.

What we learned

We learned a lot about API design and using middleware instead of manually implementing a backend.

What's next for bloom.

So, we will add a lot more features and some actual ID and fraud verification.
