Inspiration

Bloom-In-YOU was inspired by the need for a digital platform where women and girls feel safe, empowered, and supported. In the workplace and daily life, women face unique challenges, including navigating inappropriate behaviors, achieving financial and health goals, and accessing resources for personal development. This platform is designed to empower women by providing tools for safety, productivity, health, and skill-building.

What it Does

Bloom-In-YOU is a multi-functional platform with six core features designed to support women’s professional and personal growth:

1. Safe You

  • Purpose: Promote safety and professionalism in the workplace for women by addressing inappropriate coworker behavior.
  • Features: Users can select specific behaviors they feel are inappropriate (e.g., unwanted invitations, intimidation, boundary violations) and describe any incidents. AI analyzes the input and provides personalized steps to address these behaviors, including setting boundaries, documenting incidents, and escalating to HR if necessary.

2. Image Code Converter

  • Purpose: Simplify the process of converting designs to code, making it easier for women in tech to bring visual designs to life.
  • Features: Users can upload an image and choose either Bootstrap or Tailwind frameworks. The AI converts the design into responsive code with preview options, allowing users to generate fully responsive code by checking specific options. This feature enhances productivity by eliminating repetitive coding tasks, helping women focus on higher-level design and functionality.

3. CSS Code Converter

  • Purpose: Enhance productivity for developers by providing a CSS code conversion tool that facilitates faster design implementation.
  • Features: Users can convert their CSS code to either Bootstrap or Tailwind, with a live preview of the converted code, ensuring consistency in design frameworks. This tool is valuable for streamlining workplace tasks and making coding more efficient for women developers, especially when working with diverse design systems.

4. CRUD Backend Generator

  • Purpose: Simplify backend setup, especially useful for women new to or working in tech who need quick and customized backend configurations.
  • Features: Users input an entity name, select a framework, and define columns with attributes like relationships, uniqueness, and required fields. The AI generates a CRUD backend based on these specifications, making backend setup fast and intuitive. This feature boosts productivity by automating backend generation, freeing up time for more strategic tasks in the workplace.

5. Goal Getter

  • Purpose: Assists users in financial planning and goal setting to support their professional and personal financial goals.
  • Features: Users input details like monthly income, expenses, savings goals, and timeline. The platform calculates a savings plan and integrates it with Google Calendar for easy tracking and reminders, helping users stay organized and financially motivated.

6. Health Care Planner

  • Purpose: Supports health and wellness by generating custom health plans, promoting work-life balance.
  • Features: Users input their daily activities, health concerns (e.g., weight loss, heart health), and desired duration. The AI generates a personalized health schedule, helping users balance work with self-care and achieve their health goals.

How We Built It

Bloom-In-YOU was developed using:

  • Firebase for authentication, data storage, and backend support.
  • Gemini API for AI-driven insights and responses.
  • React JS for building dynamic user interfaces.
  • Tailwind CSS for flexible, responsive styling.

Challenges We Ran Into

  • Data Privacy: Ensuring sensitive information, especially in the "Safe You" feature, is securely managed was challenging. We implemented strict encryption and privacy standards.
  • Complexity in Code Conversion: Converting image and CSS code accurately to Tailwind or Bootstrap required advanced AI algorithms to deliver accurate, responsive results.
  • Backend Flexibility: Building a flexible CRUD generator that allows customization for various backend frameworks presented challenges in standardization and compatibility.
