Inspiration
We realize during this COVID-19 pandemic, it is difficult for some students to go back to school. Online learning works, but it can’t be all about watching endless slides.
What it does
Introducing VisionPedia, a new way for teachers to supplement their students’ learning.
We created an ecosystem that aims to bring back the immersive experience of an in-person classroom while still attending classes online.
How we built it
With a strong emphasis on student management, we have an in-built system of doubt clearing sessions. Powered by Twilio, it enables students to be in direct contact with the teachers for all their queries. The frontend of the website uses P5JS, which is a JavaScript Library and the backend is based on Flask.
It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears to make this work in a limited timeframe
Challenges we ran into
P5JS integration with Flask.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Building applications we would love to use in the classroom.
What we learned
As with everything in life, we faced a series of challenges during the development and thank the VolHacks teams for providing us with an amazing opportunity to learn. We realized the importance of testing and how challenging it is to create a beautiful UI and get the prototype up as soon as possible.
What's next for VisionPedia
Maturing our code and transition from a prototype to production. Spreading its message in the the creator community which will help build our educational models. Pitching the concept to various schools and colleges.
