💡 Inspiration

  • We were inspired completely by the origin story of WaffleHacks, how individuals can group together and form strong communities is a truly different form of collaboration and support.
  • However, we realized how much of an intimidating experience it can be to manage your community, especially host events to give back to the community, it's not easy, and we wanted to make sure we provided a fun, interactive and intuitive way to manage local events within your community.
  • Ranging from budgeting, assigning teams to tasks to future proofing all the plans for the upcoming events you have planned, MeetPod is here for you!

🔨 What it does

  • MeetPod was made keeping in mind that the community leaders may get overwhelmed by overly complex features and user interface and hence we made sure to keep the following criteria in MeetPod
    • Intuitiveness
    • Ease of use
    • Simpler and effective UI
    • Interactive Design
    • Addition of extra Fun elements to the site

With all this in mind, we introduce you to the features one by one ✨:

📊Dashboard

  • Displays the stats of the latest scheduled event to happen - A media tile that houses all your posters, reels, video for immediate distribution - Invitation tracker that shows who have received invitations and who haven't - Attendee count to keep track of the ones who have confirmed the invitation - Venue card that shows the venue that has been booked, if there comes a problem with the venue, it will be shown here - Total Expenditure that shows real time the expenditure done holistically by all teams on the event - Other parameters and details such as space availability etc. with real time status has been integrated to get a view on the go

🫂 Team Management

  • Shows the event lead on the right in bold for the latest upcoming event
  • Helps you to see all the assigned members of the event for various categories or phases of the event

📈 Overview of upcoming events

  • All the pre-planned upcoming events show up here
  • Shows the date and time of the events along with details of the venue and the food caterer status

💸 Budget Distribution Overview

  • This is the most intimidating part of any event
  • We made it playful and interactive to view all the budget for every category/phase of the event

✏️ Event Creator

  • Suit allows you to create events on the go
  • Fill in basic details, parameters, etc
  • Assign the teams and designers for the event on the fly

✅❌ Community Member management console

  • We divided it into two categories - one with existing members, the other with ones that are yet to be approved
  • Easy UI to accept/reject members

🛠️ How we built it

  • We used Figma to prototype
  • All the animations are done via prototyping and no use of plugins

🏁 Challenges we ran into

  • This was our first time to make a functioning prototype
  • We spent quite literally hours learning to animate a lot of the components
  • The interactive elements were fun to make, but definitely required quite a lot of detailing work to do

🏆 Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • We learned to animate on Figma
  • We learned the art of making fully functioning prototype
  • Challenged ourselves to be patient and were able to understand the importance of detailing and frame to frame coordination

🔮 What's next for MeetPod

  • As of now we have made a prototype, we wish to make it into a fully functional product, plus add additional features of profiling oneself into task specific team in the future!
