We were inspired by the rise in fast fashion, over emphasis on aspiration lifestyles and that Singapore will no longer be able to hold our textile waste in the near future.
There are existing models for people to give away their clothes. However, these are often not convenient. People have to anticipate donation drives or take the initiative themselves to travel to donation centers. As such, we have built a prototype to make it convenient for people to donate anytime and anywhere they like. Furthermore, we have gamified it by including a point system to further incentivise people to opt into the initiative.
Within our prototype we have further plans for improvements such as integrating AI, better identification of misuse and including the MyCloset feature.
We faced several challenges in this project such as lack of time and expertise. Regardless we are proud of what we have to present today and hope you like it!
