Big Stonks

Inspiration

We were tired of not having a good platform for getting objective info on stocks based on the incomes we have, so we decided to do something about it.

What it does

It use yahoo finance and Prophet to take in the stock ticker and historical data and make a projection from the data. this is then passed through a modified knapsack problem in which the overpriced stocks are pruned leaving the highest preforming stocks that the user can afford.

How we built it

We used streamlit for the frontend and Prophet as our projection model.

What's next for Big Stonks

We would like to make the tool more flexible as well as allow the user to look at crypto as well. By more flexible We would like the user to be able to pick more variables like time in the market, holding types, etc. If possible we would also like to link a commission free trading platform .
