Inspiration
Mental health is a major aspect of overall well-being. Yet, it is overlooked in the fast-paced world of today. Our team wanted to create a platform to address the issues and empower individuals to take control of their mental health.
What it does
Better Days is a web application that assists users in improving their mental health by identifying and addressing the issues that might derail their well-being. It is designed to tailor recommendations to meet the users' goals and embark on a journey towards better mental health and overall happiness.
How we built it
The front, communication, and login interface were built using HTML, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges we ran into was trying to integrate the backend and frontend components. Since this was in the early stages, we only decided to go with front-end development. As our team had varying web development experiences, coordinating different segments of the code was not easy.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
As most of us are first-time hackers, we are proud to have brought our vision to life within 24 hours and developed a functional prototype of Better Days. The major feature we developed was personalized recommendations and tailored advice.
What we learned
We gained valuable insight into front-end technologies. We learned how to brainstorm, shortlist ideas, manage coding components, and collaborate as a team.
What's next for Better Days
We would like to add more community interaction and integrate machine learning algorithms to increase the accuracy of our recommendations.
