Inspiration

We were inspired by the countless amount of other musical beat creating applications out there, such as SoundBoard. However, apps like these are often either too expensive or too complex from a user's perspective. We wanted to create our own version of a free, and easy-to-use Sound Board app.

What it does

It's a simple website that takes in a user key press input. Then, using JavaScript, the web-app will create a sound based on the corresponding key pressed. The user may also record their creative sound tracks to share with friends!

How we built it

We built this using HTML, CSS, vanilla JavaScript, with inspirations from other soundboard-like apps.

Challenges we ran into

Most of the challenges we ran into when creating this project is front-end based. We ran into the most challenges when trying to change and switch between the two dark mode settings. We eventually achieved this through using session storage.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of completing our project in a swift and timely fashion, while being organized with our communication and resources.

What we learned

We learned to adapt to challenges that we faced during our project. Some of the more technical things we learned were HTML, CSS, JS, and being able to efficiently Google search our way through problems.
