Beach Tally

An app that allows anyone to upload images of beaches and get info about the objects/people in the image. Allows to count the number of people in the image and other objects. Also gives detailed info about the location and cofidence score of prediction

Inspiration

• Useful for research purposes - part of a Citizen Science project and will be used to help scientists conduct research.

Workflow

How we built it

• We used node.js for our backend -used to maintain admin sessions and MongoDB used to store images and show it to the users for analysis. Node.js app is hosted on Heroku
• Our frontend is built using React.js and hosted on netlify
