Inspiration
The inspiration behind redesigning the website for Boston Benevolent Chiropractic Clinic comes from the deep desire to support and give back to the community. The non-profit provides a valuable service to the underserved community by offering free chiropractic care, which is a critical need in many areas.
However, the current website is not effectively communicating the meaningful values and impact of the non-profit. With its lack of relevant information, poor user experience and lack of focus on attracting donations and sponsorships, it becomes evident that a redesign is necessary.
What it does
The aim of the redesign is to create a website that effectively showcases the positive impact of the non-profit, with a user-centered design that focuses on providing the information needed for users to understand the organization’s mission and services. With this improved website, the non-profit will also be able to attract more donations and sponsorships.
How we built it
We built this with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, express.js, node.js, svelte/kitframework
Challenges we ran into
- The non-profit has not been working for a long time thus they yet to have pictures about the staff and the patients. For that reason, we lack of images and information to put on our website.
- Two of our member have not had any experience regarding website design before. For that reason, they learned CSS from scratch at the same time with designing the website. That was both the challenge and the opportunity for the team to self-learn new skills and new knowledge.
