Inspiration:

We initially had an idea of creating a gesture or hands free ATM system that was synced up using a mobile app. But we realized that the scope of that project was too large, so we had a brainwave and streamlined our project.

What it does:

A streamlined version of a physical ATM, that you sync and interact with through your mobile device. The process works through logging in through a web app, performing a biometric security check, scanning your mobile device with the ATMs RFID scanner, after you are synced with the ATM you can perform regular operations from your phone, without a regular terminal screen needed.

How we built it:

The project was constructed using the MERN Stack.

Challenges we ran into:

Early on we ran into problems was the biometric security check, and how you need to use HTTPs to send any biometric data, we tried setting up secure certificates using browser dev tools, but this problem was alleviated when we ran the project on Vercel since Vercel has the certificates so that we can use HTTPs.

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

We are proud of the level of polish, hardware application and our overall idea. We've grafted hard to create a project over the course of the deadline that we are happy with.

What we learned

We've learned more about working as a team, the importance of setting up specific requirements early, creating a solid and consistent design style. That trusting each member of the team to fulfill a role that is suited to their strengths and weaknesses helps a great deal.
