Inspiration

In the current stage of fast lives and customer engagements using personalization, we want to provide users with very smooth and interactive interfaces.

What it does

We have 2 different problem statements tackled:

  1. Engaging the young generation into planning more effectively for retirement by providing an interactive UI and a chatbot for personalized recommendations.

  2. Getting customers of the banks a facial recognition system that will smoothen out the process of entering the complete account information and IDs. Also, make use of the same system to reduce the number of frauds happening.

How we built it

  1. For the UI and chatbot, we used React and Google Dialogflow respectively.

  2. For facial recognition, we have given an architecture/flow diagram for the approach in the Google Doc.

Challenges we ran into

  1. Staying up all night and completing the projects was the major challenge with the cold weather in the building.
  2. Not getting enough research papers for facial feature recognition to actually implement a running solution.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  1. We were able to complete the working projects by the time of submission.

What we learned

  1. We learned team bonding, working on the project overnight, and getting the desired outcome.
  2. We learned collaborative work in the hackathon.

What's next for Avocado 2.0

We plan on keeping on building more and more projects in the coming future.
