About us

Our team consists of a group of four drone engineers from Avis Drone labs, a student-led UAV team at the University of Sheffield.

Inspiration

We desired to create a safe and gamified environment for young people to gain experience with macroeconomics.

Project Description

In 22 hours we developed a trading platform that uses historical Bitcoin data to create a game in which players can compete for a spot on a global leaderboard based on how much profit they make on trades, with the end goal of growing our shared money tree as high as possible. The project includes integration with Auth0 to manage user accounts and leverages MongoDB to track score data and update it in real time.

Challenges Faced

In this project we faced many challenges to development, these included issues with authenticating users, syncing time stepped data across users and procedural Bonsai tree generation.
