Inspiration

The inspiration for the ATM Buddy application stemmed from the idea of how it is a necessity of quickly locating ATM when in need of money. It makes it very convenient for you to get the amount of cash needed wherever you are.

What it does

The ATM Buddy application is designed to offer an efficient way for users to find nearby ATMs based on their current geographical location. It aims to provide quick and accurate information about ATM locations, accessibility, and other important details to users on the go. This web application integrates the browser's geolocation API to automatically display the user's current location and the nearest ATMs. This ensures a user friendly experience, where ATM locations are marked on the map, and users can look at these markers to get more details like the address of the ATMs.

How we built it

The application is built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript each adding important value to the website. The styling is enhanced by CSS3 which incorporates modern fonts, vibrant color schemes, and subtle animations that make the interface engaging. The layout is carefully crafted to be adaptable, ensuring an accessible experience across various devices and screen sizes.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge was managing geolocation permissions, as users might deny access to their location data. The application addresses this by providing alternative options for entering location manually.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The ATM Locator web application merges functionality with modern design to create a practical tool to locate ATMs effortlessly. It focuses on user accessibility and enhancing the everyday convenience of its users through technological innovation and thoughtful design.

What we learned

The development of the ATM Buddy application offers deep insights into technology integration, such as geolocation, API management, and web design. We learned the importance of handling user permissions sensitively to build ensure smooth operation.

What's next for ATM Buddy

Looking forward the ATM Buddy is set to expand with several enhancements. We plan to introduce advanced search options with filters for specific ATM features to tailor the user experience more closely to individual needs. Integrating user accounts will allow personalization such as saving favorite ATMs and customizing settings.
