Inspiration
Shopping online often feels like a gamble — you never really know how something will look until it arrives. We wanted to bridge that gap and make fashion more fun, interactive, and confidence-driven. That’s how our idea was born: a virtual try-on experience where users can see themselves wearing any outfit before they buy.
What It Does
Our app lets users upload or scan their image and try on clothes virtually in real time. From mixing styles to testing color combinations, it helps users visualize outfits instantly — making shopping more personal and sustainable.
How We Built It
We built the core in Unity using AR Foundation for realistic fitting visualization, integrated with iOS via Xcode. The backend uses Firebase for user data and outfit storage, while AI models handle body mapping and garment overlay.
Challenges • Getting the AR body tracking to align perfectly with different body types. • Rendering clothes naturally under varying lighting conditions. • Optimizing performance so it runs smoothly on mobile without overheating.
What We Learned
We learned how AR and AI can work together to create immersive user experiences. We also realized the importance of testing with real users — small details like lighting and camera angle make a big difference in user satisfaction.
What’s Next
We’re planning to integrate fashion brand APIs so users can try on real catalog items instantly — making virtual try-ons a new standard in online shopping.
