Inspiration

What it does
- puts the player in space
- the goal is to obtain points (by shooting down asteroids), staying alive (not getting hit by asateroids)
How we built it
- pure java + java frameworks (jpanel, graphics2D, etc...)
- libresprite for visuals
Challenges we ran into
- initially started w/ pygame, didn't have enough experience > wasted ~3 hours on it
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- we were able to: > complete our first hackathon > persevere despite early challenges > make a fun game! :)
What we learned
- python sucks 🤮 (getters and setters especially :p)
- hackathons are fun!
