AssignmentGarden

Inspiration

Our inspiration came from a need for all-in-one place for all our study needs. We wanted to create a website that would help easily keep track of assignments, motivate students to study, guide students through healthy, productive studying, and protect students mental health all while gaining a deeper knowledge and appreciation for sustainability and sustainable practices.

What it does

A homework tracker/planner that lets users grow a plant as they gain XP and level from completing assignments. It allows for friendly competition amongst friends via the global leaderboard, encouraging students to do their homework and gain XP. For complex or hard-to-grasp topics, assignments can be broken down into smaller, manageable steps to help students get a better understanding of the topic. Additional support can be find in the productivity tips and daily motivation.

Optimizing the website and developing a well-rounded idea that we think would be a useful tool for not only ourselves, but all students.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Aesthetic, real-world applicable idea and website that we think came out very well for being our first time working with the technology. We believe that our product has a future and can continue to grow into something even better and more polished with time and effort.

What we learned

Developing something real-world applicable takes time and effort! We worked hard to create a product that we were proud of and would solve problems very relevant to us and other Lehigh students, which was a time-consuming process, even with the help of powerful AI. Continuing to build and develop our idea and our product will take more time and more iteration, but that is an important part of building a useful tool.

What's next for AssignmentGarden

Expanded reward system and cusotmizability, optimized responses, and free-use AI chatbot. We hope that AssignmentGarden can be a powerful tool to help students at Lehigh and beyond stay on top of their school work and be encouraged to do well in school while protecting their mental health and gaining an appreciation for sustainability.
