Inspiration
We have struggled choosing courses, this is a real challenge that people have faced so we have decided to create a friendly system that instantly gives you all the information you need.
What it does
You ask it a lot of questions over courses, and it will answer them for you
How we built it
We used python, more specifically we used RAG LLM to answer questions and Panda3d to display the axolotl
Challenges we ran into
There were many issues loading the LLM , it was unclear what access we were given with AWS, it turned out it was not much. There were many issues with loading the model into Panda3d.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
In the end we got a working LLM and a loaded model, it looks nice and it is useful.
What we learned
We learned that you don't neccesarily need the best models to make your product, its import to not rely on a certain model.
What's next for Ask-a-Lotl
It would be nice to for Ask-a-Lotl to do entire degree planners.
