Geocaching, art exploration, and enhancing travel experiences.

What it does

ArtXplorer allows users to discover artworks beyond the present by connecting artwork with related work around the city.

How I built it

We utilized the existing AlphaWallet platform to host our Tokens and used TokenScript to generate the Tokens upon QR Scanned Artwork pieces. We have then used a mobile platform to host this application.

Challenges I ran into

Server issues and problems when using an existing platform like AlphaWallet. Learning TokenScript from scratch for one team member.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Learning TokenScript for the first time.

What I learned

Practical uses of Ethereum and blockchain.

What's next for artXplorer

Adding more information on Artworks. User research and experience enhancements. Adding or supporting street art. Allowing users to donate funding to artists who curated the artwork. WorldWide usage would be good for tourists and locals to discover artworks. AR support or development to enhance user experiences.
