Inspiration

Discord is constantly changing and with the current state of Covid-19, more and more people are using it as a platform to hang out and to even learn in their classrooms. This bot provides information from the website HackerNews (but realistically could be any website with a accessible API) at the command of the user to make things easy to access and view.

What it does

Presents articles > 99 votes from HackerNews when you add the bot to your discord server and type !hackerNews

What we learned

We didn't even know what a makeathon was to be honest, thought this was the same thing as a hackathon. This is our first event so we hope we learned a little bit of how this works and we will improve as we gain more experience.
