Revicryl

Inspiration

It does color seeking for you which otherwise would be a tedious task to do. Revicryl is a word that is borrowed from the word fevicryl which provides to you the paint shades in all possible colors you wish to find. It finds the colors you want on your painting, identifies the right shade and gives you the nearest market availability of it. If this doesn't surprise you, how about the fact that it also lets you merge colors to make your painting more attractive so that it could be turned into a piece of digital art and also a NFT or a stock image. Endless possibilities exist with Revicryl.

What it does

Being an artist is not easy. When you find the right train of thought and your creativity is on the flow, the problem of not being able to picture-ise your painting or finding the right shade that would match the painting shouldn't be an hindrance. We've been through it and we want to help you out. That is how this project was built.

How we built it

We used Python to build this project. We made use of OpenCV and Pandas library to perform color analysis on the image.

Challenges we ran into

We have been attempting to deploy this Python based project inorder to make it compatible with browser. But unfortunately we haven't been able to link python with HTML.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This project is able to clearly identify colors in a picture and even suggest closer shades successfully.

What we learned

We could have done more for the artist community. There are endless free and open source tools that are available but none of them cater to the real-life needs of artists. We have realized that we could do a lot more by using programming to contribute and support the artistic community
