Project Arcus (Latin Translation: Rainbow)

Arcus is a cross-platform Flutter application that helps designers and developers extract colour information from images. The app saves the user's favourite palettes via local database files stored on the device, allowing the user to close the app and still access their saved colours later. This app is was developed by Oleg Yurchenko, Davis Liu, and Angelina Lam, and Sudarshan Sreeram as a HackTheNorth 2020 project submission.

Our team consists of hackers who come from a variety of backgrounds ranging from frontend development to backend development and mobile app design. Prior to this hackathon, our entire team was new to Google's Flutter framework as well as the dart programming language. We pooled together our previous experiences to rapidly learn the language and develop a mobile app that incorporates Google's Vision API as well as Unsplash's image request API in 25 hours.
