Inspiration
We were inspired by the common problem that many households cannot easily determine if their water is safe to drink. Existing solutions are either complex , which motivated us to design a simple and user-friendly experience
What it does
Aquaguard Safe Water helps users quickly acess their home water quality through simple inputs like color, smell, and pressure. It provides instant results along with safety suggestions and reporting options
How we built it
We followed a user-centered design approach by first researching user problems, then creating wireframes and high-fidelity UI screens in Figma. We focused on simplicity, clarity, and smooth navigation throughout the app
Challenges we ran into
One major challenge was simplifying complex water quality information into an easy-to-understand format. We also faced difficulties in balancing functionality with a clean and minimal UI design
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully designed a clean, intuitive, and accessible UI that allows users to check water safety easily
What we learned
We learned the importance of user research, simplicity in design, and maintaining visual hierarchy. This project also improved our skills in problem-solving and creating user-friendly prototype.
What's next for Aquagaurd safe water
we plan to add AI-based analysis, real-time sensor integration, voice assistance, and features like water usage tracking and smart alerts to make the app more advanced and impactful
