Technical Description
The alarm system consists of two Arduinos, two breadboards, one pressure sensor, one photoresisteor, one ping sensor, two LEDs, one buzzer, a Bluetooth master, and a Bluetooth slave. In the first part, when the photoresistor senses there's light in a room, the associated LED lights up. Secondly, if somebody crosses the ping sensor, another LED lights up. Finally, if the object on top of the pressure sensor is removed, one Arduino sends a Bluetooth signal to the other Arduino, which in turn activates the buzzer.
Inspiration
Mandatory ESE 111 project
What it does
It's an alarm system
How we built it
First we planned, then we got the parts, and then we put them together. Debbugging came after.
Challenges we ran into
We weren't able to make the camera work, so we dropped it
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It works
What we learned
We were able to have a broader view on what constitutes an engineering project
What's next for Alarm System 3000.01
It's done.
