Inspiration

In this day and age, there are a plethora of great minds with great ideas. But, a lot of them don't know much about business and market, therefore they are afraid to venture out and make their ideas a reality. So, we thought that it would be a good idea to use PartyRock to generate an app to critique other app ideas as well as analyze the market for them in order to facilitate better idea generation and implementation.

What it does

AppSavvy takes in user input and analyzes the app idea. It then gives specialized and thorough feedback on market potential, feasibility, competitors, estimated cost and time for the development of the app and the target audience. Ultimately, it gives suggestions on how to improve the pre-existing idea and provides alternative ways to achieve the same outcome. Moreover, the user can try out and get a better idea of ways their app might respond to user interaction by interacting with the friendly chatbot themselves!

How we built it

We used AWS PartyRock to create our project. We had a lot of trials and errors before coming up with our latest solution. We started off by thinking of different app ideas, drew inspiration from pre-existing projects on PartyRock and looked for ways to make our app unique as well as something that could be turned into a real-life web app, which was how we ultimately came up with our final project idea.

Challenges we ran into

While creating the app, we encountered a few technical blips in PartyRock. Firstly, we could not edit the prompt under specific widget, which caused a huge drawback in our progress. Secondly, when the user changes the input, the app lags and the initial output is not cleared immediately, therefore, causes user confusion.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It is our first project as a couple and we have been dreaming of creating different projects together, so this is the first of many. We could also play around with PartyRock which was really cool. We also managed to come out of this project successfully without breaking up, so that is definitely an accomplishment.

What we learned

We learned how to use PartyRock effectively and efficiently to meet our goals. We also gained a rough understanding of how LLMs work and this has ignited our passion to learn more about AI and LLMs.

What's next for AppSavvy

Right now, AppSavvy only exists as part of PartyRock. So, we wish to go global by turning it into a legitimate web app. Perhaps, with the help of AWS PartyRock.
