Inspiration
Pomodoro is a method of studying that alots for a specific study time and break time. We were inspired by an interesting youtube video that showcased animedoro, a type of the pomodoro method where you designate anime watching for the break time. After seeing that Josh Chen, the creator of the animedoro youtube video, was able to spend more than six hundred cumulative hours of studying using the animedoro technique, we wanted to create our own version of a free, easy-to-use web-app to aid users as they study pomodoro-style .
What it does
Anydoro is a platform that aims to improve its users’ long-term time management skills while simultaneously increasing their productivity during work sessions. There is a timer with custom time options that the user can change based on personal preferences. The timer allows for efficient and timely sessions of productivity; these sessions can vary from reading to coding.
How we built it
We built this using HTML, CSS, vanilla JavaScript, with inspirations from other timer-like apps.
Challenges we ran into
Most of the challenges we ran into when creating this project are from both front-end and back-end. On the front end, the CSS took a lot of time for us to figure out and explore. On the other hand, the backend struggled most with the timer and the functions we had to add along with it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of completing our project in a swift and timely fashion, while being organized with our communication and resources. In addition, being able to overcome the issues we ran into is something we're proud of.
What we learned
We learned to adapt to challenges that we faced during our project. Some of the more technical things we learned were HTML, CSS, JS, and being able to efficiently Google search our way through problems. In addition, we got to reinforce our knowledge of the basics of web development.
What's next for Anydoro
In the future, we may decide to add more themes and functions to allow the users to better utilize their creativity when using Anydoro!
