Inspiration

We were inspired by the book Inferno by Dan Brown, in which the main character searched for a virus created by a group of revolutionists who want to stop overpopulation. We adapted the story of the virus and the characters as well as added a puzzle element to it where the player leads an investigation to find the virus.

What it does

It is a webpage game where the player roleplays as a certain character in a futuristic scenario. The player is given a series of connected clues to find the place where the virus will first be released.

How we built it

We used HTML and CSS to build webpages that link to each other.

Challenges we ran into

We had cooperation issues where we spent a lot of time arguing about the nitty gritty details when we could have used our time more wisely. We were able to solve this around half way through when we created a plan for everything that we needed to do and delegated tasks.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of the storyline that we worked out. It took a lot of time to work out the logistics and how everything would work but now we have a solid and interesting storyline for the player to enjoy.

What we learned

We learned a lot about cooperation and time management as well as our story in general. We had to do a lot of research into the places and the clues, and we learned a lot about history along the way.

What's next for Anti-evolution Investigation

We hope to continue the story which we foreshadowed in the final letter where the revolutionists were working on an bigger threat to humanity. The player would have to face a series of new and more complex problems to try and defeat the revolutionists.
