Researchers are always in need of more data about animal appearances. With this data, people can better gauge the health of animal populations. What better way than to have the public track help?

Our goal is to gamify animal sighting reporting in order to provide useful data to the scientific community. Our project allows people to use their mobile devices, accessing our mobile app to snap photos of animals they come across. When they take a photo, users will identify the animal and location, before uploading it to our databases, along with relevant image metadata such as time.

Our project then allows users to access a web application to query the database for certain animals in order to get an idea of sighting frequency and distribution.
