Using the Microsoft Bing Speech to Text API and the speech synthesizer, our team used speech input to control an Arduino microcontroller using bluetooth. It is an Internet of Things software and hardware hack, meant for the home. When the user's phone comes within proximity of their device and their home, they can use verbal commands to unlock the door, turn on the lights, and even open the garage door.
