Inspiration

The COVID-19 makes social distancing important. We want to make an app to help people with keeping distancing from each other and avoid crowded places.

What it does

It would give real-time data on how many people are there in a certain place or some business type, for example restaurants, hospitals and supermarkets. It will categorise all the business in three categories based on the number of people present. Green (safe to go): less than 20% crowded; yellow (okay to go): less than 50% crowded; red (be safe): more than 50% crowded.

How I built it

As for design, we built it with Figma. To implement the design, we built it with Android Studio and Google Map APIs.

Challenges I ran into

Showing the data with the help of Google Map API.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Get involved in a real application design and implementation cycle which will help people.

What I learned

The concept building for a mobile application. How to work on Android framework.

What's next for Ample

To work out how to show the real-time data on integrated Google Map. To add more features to enable business owner update the data for their stores.
