Inspiration 💡

One day in my personal finance class, I was bombarded with complex formal terms that were hard to grasp. This experience, coupled with a shocking statistic, sparked the idea for Alchem Bills. According to a TIAA Institute and Global Financial Literacy Excellence Center study, only 43% of Gen Z respondents could correctly answer questions related to financial literacy. This alarming figure highlighted the urgent need for accessible financial education tailored to our generation.

What it Does 🚀

Alchem Bills is a platform designed to make finance fun and easy for everyone, especially Gen Z. It breaks down complex financial concepts into bite-sized, relatable content, helping young adults level up their money skills. It has four main features:

  • DYNAMIC
Get the scoop on stock market trends! 📈 Stay woke with real-time data and expert insights to make those smart moves.

  • DATA DRIVEN
See what others are investing in! 👀 Copy their trends and strategies to boost your portfolio game.

  • DUTIFUL
Level up your money smarts! 📚 Access Kaizen AI and interactive content to boost your financial literacy.

  • DEMURE
Practice trading without the risk! 🎮 Use our paper trading software to sharpen your skills before going live.

How I Built It 🛠️

I created Alchem Bills using a combination of modern web technologies and financial APIs. I focused on developing an intuitive user interface that appeals to Gen Z's digital-native preferences.

Challenges I Ran Into 🏋️‍♀️

One of my main challenges was simplifying complex financial jargon without losing its essence. I also struggled to find the right balance between education and engagement to keep my young audience interested.

Accomplishments I'm Proud Of 🏆

I'm proud to have created a platform that addresses a critical need for our generation and laying the foundation to Kaizen AI

What I Learned 📚

Through this project, I learned a lot about design, especially minimalism. It was challenging since this was the first time I focused on a minimalist theme, which is uncommon for a fintech hackathon.

What's Next for Alchem Bills 🔮

Moving forward, I plan to develop Kaizen AI and get it fully operational. Additionally, I'll work on enhancing the online paper trading software and improving the mobile app and software for Alchem Bills.
