Inspiration
We have a hard time organizing events in the neighborhood as it disturbs the peace of the society. Hence, vacant parkingspaces and open spaces as such are a perfect resource available to be tapped. This led to the birth of AirPnP, a digital service where people can rent out empty parking spaces which are perfect for parties, discos and small events.
What it does
It connects parking space owners to rent it out to event organizers or disco jockeys to host events and parties so that the neighborhood doesn't get disturbed and everybody can have a fun time.
How we built it
We used React framework, JavaScript scripts, CSS animations and styling, and a bit of HTML to tie it all up. To host the site locally, we used Firebase. The IDE we used was VSCode
Challenges we ran into
We struggled a bit while implementing the calendar. Integrating all the functions in React cohesively was also a bit complicated.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Integrating CSS animations was a thing that we are proud of, and managing to make a calendar Gui on the website was new for us, and it was the first time we used React as the JavaScript framework.
What we learned
We learned how to use React, JavaScript CSS Animations, Firebase hosting and Git.
What's next for AirPnP
We would like to set up a payment service within the app itself and set up a login ID and password, user accounts for Renters and Customers.
