Inspiration
This project came about when we actually started in a traffic jam, which took an approximate 6 hours to open up. These pushed us to come up with this project so that we can bring about a solution which can actually cover this problem of traffic jams and high congestion levels.
What it does
The traffic Light Management Systems work hand in hand with AI- models and computer Vision Systems to bring about efficiency compared to the Traditional Traffic Lights Management Systems which worked with Fixed Timings
How we built it
We integrated different AI models alongside computer vision so that you can adjust the similar patterns according to the position levels in each lane on a given road.
Challenges we ran into
The challenge came about during writing the code that links the traffic light management system to the AI model.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We managed to present it at the national level in science fair activities and we emerged first in the whole region.
What we learned
We learned that you can provide solutions to different challenges using AI models, just like the AI-powered traffic that we use.
What's next for Ai Powered Traffic Light Management
We are planning to enable it to be integrated in the traditional fixed timing system so that you can work hand in hand and bring about efficiency on traffic roads, which decreases the driver's frustrations and also reduces the congestion levels on roads.
