Inspiration
Our gym bro friends often show up to the gym and discover that their favourite gym imported new gym machines and equipment! However, they have no idea what exercises they could do with the new equipment and how they can integrate them into their routines.
What it does
AI-GymBro uses AI to scan gym equipments and personnlizes a gym routine for the user taking into account not only the equipments in their disposition but also their goal, namely if their training their power or their endurance, and their experience in the gym.
How we built it
We trained our gym bro AI using tensorflow detection models and we fed it many pictures of common gym equipment to our webcam. We then built our friend end using high effort html/css and we used javascript for our backend functions. Go along with javascript, we used tensorflow.js to import and utilize our AI model.
Challenges we ran into
We had hardware limitations while training our AI locally. We had to use google collab and their cloud gpus.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud of training our first AI! fun experience.
What we learned
We learned how to write html css and tensorflow. This is the first AI we ever trained. Those are going to be valuable skillsets in the future
What's next for AI-GymBro
We would like to locally train our AI again using our powerful gaming computers at home so we can have more control over how we import our model.
