Inspiration
We created Affirmation Station as a tool to help individuals validate their emotions and to help individuals cope positively with their emotions, such as feelings of being overwhelmed, angered and sad.
What it does
Click on a button depending on your mood and get a randomized positive affirmation.
How we built it
We used VSCode, React, and JavaScript to write the code, and used LiveShare to work on it at the same time. Our teammate Alyssa made the designs that you see on our website using Figma.
Challenges we ran into
- Learning to use JavaScript, VSCode, and React
- Learning how to use images on VSCode
- Learning how to allow the domain to link to the website we created rather than the README file on GitHub ## Accomplishments that we're proud of Since this is our first hackathon, having something up and running is something that we're the most proud of. ## What we learned Before this project, none of us had ever created a website before. Now, we have a basic understanding of how to use JavaScript, React and VSCode. ## What's next for Affirmation Station Using AI Chatbot, AI Positive Affirmation Visual Graphic Generator, AI Positive Affirmation Generator, and adding more emotions to improve Affirmation Station.
