Inspiration

We were inspired by the growing need for hands-free productivity tools. In a world where people constantly switch between devices, we wanted to create a seamless way to manage work using only your voice. Our goal was to make everyday tasks—like scheduling meetings or summarizing documents—faster, easier, and more intuitive.

What it does

Aether is a mobile application that allows users to accomplish tasks simply by speaking into their phone. It connects to your computer and handles requests such as scheduling meetings, summarizing long documents, generating reports, or performing other routine tasks. Essentially, it turns your voice into actionable commands across devices, streamlining workflows and saving time.

How we built it

We built Aether’s front end using Swift to deliver a clean, intuitive mobile experience. The back end is powered by Firebase, enabling real-time communication between the app and the connected computer. This setup ensures that user commands are processed quickly and efficiently.

Challenges we ran into

One of our biggest challenges was building a reliable back end capable of managing smooth, real-time communication across multiple devices. Balancing performance, stability, and scalability took extensive testing and iteration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud of our beautiful, user-friendly front end and successfully getting the back end up and running, enabling real-time task execution from voice commands.

What we learned

Next, we plan to expand Aether’s capabilities to work across additional devices, including other mobile platforms and data servers, making it even more versatile and powerful.

What's next for Aether

We plan to further develop the capabilities to span to other devices including mobile and data servers.
