A few years ago, my first children's book was translated into Braille and standard script, with relief printing, by the German Central Library for the Blind. I then began to research what books there were for blind and sighted children that they could read together and understand tactilely. In Germany, there are hardly any books that also have tactile illustrations. So that there is no longer a difference between

  1. classic children's book and
  2. children's books for blind and visually impaired children children, I am working on a solution for

a. Standard script b. Braille c. replace visual illustrations with tactile three-dimensional figures and elements.

Before barriers arise in the mind, kindergarten children should already have tactile contact with the written word without difficulty.

This serves to improve communication and promotes a sense of community. Furthermore, both blind and sighted children learn Braille at a very early age.
