Inspiration

Taking care of a dog is good for both humans and dogs. Owning a pet is known to have a positive effect on the owner’s mental health. However, owners often tend to select certain breeds or ages of dogs, while overlooking others, which can lead to those dogs being put down. 1.5 million dogs are put down each year.

What it does

Aashrya for Paws allows shelters to list their dogs and inform potential adopters of the urgency that to adopt the dog.

How we built it

I used a Django framework to build the website and coded it with HTML, CSS, and Python. I published it on Heroku.
