Inspiration
I joined a coding program Kode with Klossy last summer and there, I was able to learn so many things about the STEM field and the issues with it. It inspired me to create this.
What it does
With this website, you can learn a lot about the STEM field, and importance of diversity, and what you can do to solve the issues. You can also find coding opportunities there. Furthermore, you can give us feedback and share your stories.
How we built it
I built it with HTML, css, and javascript.
Challenges we ran into
a challenge I ran into was getting the submit button in the newsletter to work. At first, it wasn't working correctly but then I tried some things and got it to work.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud of this website itself and how it can encourage and empower other people to do what they love.
What we learned
I learned that when everyone works together, we can accomplish greater things. When there is more diversity, we can accomplish more.
What's next for A Step Up In Stem
I could create a real newsletter where I can put up different articles and also create a FAQ advice column for STEM.
