Inspiration

College students lack suitable platforms for medical expense support. Messages circulated on WhatsApp for crowdfunding go unnoticed. Also students are constantly under strain due to their studies and future. So we were inspired to build a site Health Bridge that is conceptualized by us to the students of our college by providing support for individuals with mental health needs and raise a fundraiser for students of weak economical background.

What it does

A user-friendly platform for college students to raise funds for medical assistance.

  1. Easy Fundraising: Students initiate campaigns via a straightforward form, detailing health condition and expenses.

2 Bridging the Gap: Connecting students in need with compassionate donors, easing their financial burden.

Empowering college students with free mental health support.

  1. Free Counseling: Connect with local psychologists through audio and video sessions, no cost involved.
  2. User-Friendly Interface: Intuitive live chat and video conferencing app for confidential discussions.
  3. Psychologists' Network: Platform connects students with compassionate professionals.
  4. Supportive Social Groups: Form groups for peer discussions on mental health topics.
  5. Flexible Scheduling: Easily book counseling sessions at convenient times.

How we built it

We built it using React framework. Styling was done using CSS. For storing the data we used Firebase. For Video Call App, Agora API is used.

Challenges we ran into

  1. Idea generation and scope: Coming up with a unique and feasible idea was challenging, as we have to tackle significant problems within a short timeframe.

2.None of us has a deep knowledge and expertise in UI/UX so we faced some problem in that area.

3.Adapting to new technologies: Hackathons involve using new or unfamiliar technologies or APIs, which was challenging for us.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  1. Despite these challenges, we were able to learn and implement many technical features in our site.

2.We encountered several errors and bugs but we solved it using our skills and worked beyond our potential.

What we learnt

  1. Collaborative Teamwork: Working with diverse team members towards a common goal.
  2. Time Management: Meeting tight deadlines and managing tasks efficiently.
  3. Problem Solving: Identifying and tackling challenges creatively.
  4. Innovation: Implementing unique and inventive solutions.

What's next for 351-Health Bridge

We are yet to implement many features in our website to make it more efficient and helpful for users. Needs and demands of people are growing so we are determined to cater to these needs with our website in future.
