Inspiration

Cocktails play a big role in human culture. Making a cocktail is like creating art, blending science, creativity, and tradition. Over time, cocktails have become more complex to suit different tastes. But they're more than just drinks; they help people unwind after a long day. Whether enjoyed alone or with others, cocktails offer a moment to relax and savor life.

Cocktails also bring people together. They connect us, whether in a busy bar, at a quiet dinner, or during a festive celebration.

What It Does

Our app helps beginners and enthusiasts practice making cocktails without wasting ingredients. After practicing, you can create a real, famous cocktail in mixed reality using just your hands. You'll learn the essential steps and how to do them correctly.

How We Built It We used MetaSDK: Passthrough, MR Utility Kit, Scene API, Hand Tracking, Presence Platform, and text-to-speech SDK.

Challenges We Ran Into The biggest challenge was figuring out how to let people practice making cocktails in real-time without feeling confused or scared of making mistakes, even if they have no prior experience.

Accomplishments We're Proud Of

What We Learned We learned how to build an MR lifestyle app, work with the Meta Presence platform, understand scenes, and integrate text-to-speech SDK.

What's Next for 19 MixDrinkMaster

We plan to gather feedback and keep improving the project to bring it to the Meta Quest store, featuring cocktails from all over the world. We'll add a freestyle cocktail builder and implement AI image recognition to create cocktails based on ingredients you have at home. Plus, we'll incorporate storytelling about the history and culture of cocktails.
