You know what? Sometimes I really hate my cat... she wakes me up at stupid o clock every morning, meows at the top of her lungs, destroys my blinds&/carpet, turns her nose up at most of the food I give her and only sits on my lap when I'm in the bathroom (i know! i know! wtf right??

HOWEVER there are moments when I love her to pieces... like when she wanders into the cat carrier I put out so she could get used to it before the big move... and manages to shut herself inside...

hahahahaha bless her cotton socks! HILARIOUS.

SO I was intending to go out and celebrate my non-deportedness tonight with everyone HOWEVER first two of my best friends pull out for sickness/poorness reasons then I find out that Newf has bogged off to calgary for the weekend to go party with his mates down there. SO with my newfound freedom to do whatever the fuck I want to with my night I decided that what I wanted more than ANYTHING was to slob around my apartment, dance about in my underwear to embarrassing songs, do some crafting, drink some hot choccy and just generally enjoy the hell out of being on my own for a night!

And just as I'm starting to really miss him (this is the first night I've been without him for over 2 weeks now - usually we have a day off once a week but not lately) and start to get a little low because im not sure im gonna be able to sleep so well without him here (not that i sleep too well WITH him there to be honest but its nicer waking up to someone than not) he goes and sends me a message to make sure I'm having a good night and saying he misses me...

i TOLD you it was puke enducing!! I hope I get to see him lots when mum's here - if one night is this bad I can't imagine only seeing him once or twice a week... maybe even less than that when she's here!! :'( hopefully she'll like him then he can come and hang out when we're staying in/come out for dinner a few times/come to edmonton with us when we're at festival.

3) you drunk text people you promised yourself you wouldn't
4) you vote for a guy who dressed up as jack sparrow as best costume then decide to vote for them all
5) you try to get free booze off a guy dressed in a nazi uniform (?!?)... and fail
6) you steal a black cat decoration from the bar just coz
7) you're still home by 2am but it feels like it's about 5!!

so yeah. all in all it was a success!! and now I feel fine and am watchin the Firebird on CBC. rock on!

This is Mushu!! OR Mushu Cupcake Monster to give her her full title!!

Yes I went for the cross - I was going to get the ginger tom but when he was brought in he was full of ear mites so clearly it wasn't meant to be! And little Mushu is the smallest and I thought the quietest... but she really isn't!! She's been tearing around like a maniac and loves her little leopard print ball...

She really loves my room and doesnt appear to ever want to leave - so I put her new kitty bed at the end of mine for when she wants it. I also put an old blanket in the box she came in inside her little closet should she want to hide in there sometimes and she's got the coolest little bonsai tree scratch post evarrr!! hehe

Altogether it cost me $218 which is pretty damn reasonable considering she's a cross breed and I got all the things for her at the same time and like I said - I've got well over $1000 right now so I can afford it!! Shes had a few nibbles of food and things but she doesn't seem to be very hungry for now so I've left it out for her.

That other situation is fine - apparently i was being welllll overparanoid (well whats new) but meh we shall see what happens i guess.

Oh and Emma and Zoe are coming over later to bake cupcakes with me and to see Mushu... lol I was kinda hoping they'd forget about it coz I wasn't sure their parents would approve BUT apparently they dont mind getting them off their hands for an hour so I said fine. Once they've learnt they don't need to do it every month or something! lol

KITTEN IDOL SEASON 2!!

Ok so sadly I don't have ACTUAL pictures as one of the kittens isn't in until tomorrow BUT you guys can help me decide:

Contestant #1

Now this little guy is a 6 week old ginger male who may or may not have a little white bit - no clue as he's not in the store til tomorrow. This is the sensible option as he's only $20 and still totally adorable BUT he's a male and I really wanted a female so I didn't have to worry about spraying (although I can get him neutered at 6-8months for $50 in slave lake)

Contestant #2:

A Purebred siamese - now ok this one is more expensive ($119 to be exact!!) BUT I have always ALWAYS wanted a siamese and I could have a little girl too so I wouldn't have to worry about neutering. Only downside? They meow a LOT but she would definitely suit her oriental name!!

Contestant #3

The middle ground option! A siamese shorthair cross - there are two or three that look sort of similar to these two. Again I can have a female and again they would suit their name however this one is also rather pricey for a moggy - $98!!

Now I know the last two are a bit pricey BUT I can afford it and whichever way I go it's going to put me out about $100 for him/her so don't let the price tags fool you!!

So which one gets your vote?

#1 - the sensible choice?
#2 - the very vocal but very demanding diva?
#3 - the probably quite vocal but not quite so siamesey as the pure bred?

getting paid tomorrow - $2150!! They're paying me for the week I was here and did SFA too!! How awesome is this place?

Sadly I'll be losing $600 immediately for rent but meh its all good!!

Also got a massive load of things to do down the post office tomorrow, pay for my 2nd work permit for working at the pool (about $150 I think) AND guess what else - I'm going car shopping tomorrow!!! :D :D :D

oh and its thanksgiving here on sunday - my first thanksgiving ever!! hehe awesome!!!

aaaand one more thing... this new season of heroes is ROCKIN'!! you're missing out!

hehe im so stupid when im drunk - i ought to be banned from getting that hammered!!

but it was a lot of fun too... although christina just posted some rather suspect looking photos of us lot on facebook just now. HA!! oh well.

iv had a good day altogether. got up late after some much needed sleep then iv pretty much sat on the couch all day watching movies and eating rubbish!! i watched 50 first dates first then sweet home alabama which was actually pretty cute and now im watching reign of fire - which i went to the pictures to see ages ago and forgot how awesome it was in a daft dragony way! also christian bale, gerard butler and matthew mccantspellhisname in one movie?? getting all beat up and saving the human race? HELL yeah!!

first day of teaching tomorrow... wish me luck!

ok its been 2 hours since i left the pool and my arms STILL hurt like hell!! why oh why do i have to go back in tonight?? why cant i just make it sunday? arrrrrrgh im not gonna survive another 20 laps! eeeshk!

i just wanna curl up in my duvet and have a johnny depp movie marathon with a huge bucket of tea and read my first aid book!! when the frick am i gonna have time to read that AND do extra swim practice AND get up at 8am tomorrow?? dammit if i wasnt such a do gooder id fail my NLS on purpose so i could only work the reception and not bother being a lifeguard!!!

but alas i AM a do-gooder so i guess il finish my brew, grab a nap, have some dinner then head over to the pool again. who knows? maybe an hour or so in bed would get me awake enough NOT to drown in the pool again.

p.s. "the province wants to get albertans away from computers and shopping malls and into the woods with weapons in their hands"... WTF??? dude! wtf kinda country am i living in now???? LOL

MAN if Samuel L Jackson told me NOT to go into a room i would totally do whatever the man told me to!!!

AWESOME film though!! John Cusack has always been one of my fave actors but he rocked in this one - it wasnt scary so much as JUMPY. and the way you thought near the end 'omg no WAY you cant tell me that entire hour was just a dream!!' then...

then he went into the post office and they started smashing the walls down and he was STILL in the room?? AWESOME!! and awwwwww i almost cried when his little girl came back to him and he had to lose her a second time!! and then when the clock FINALLY got down to 00:00... and it RESTARTED back at an hour?!?!? wicked! me and mum were like 'omg no he does NOT have to go thru all that AGAIN does he?? how cruel!!' and then he set it on fire and escaped?? woooo! i swear i actually cheered when he beat the room! wooo!

just goes to show kids - don't play with fire... unless some evil haunted room that's killed 56 people in a hotel run by sammy L won't let you escape in which case... play away!!

so yeah... if it's out near you and you haven't been to see it yet I'd recommend 1408 - not the most taxing on the brain but all love it when we're made to jump out of our skins dont we?! dont expect gore though... its not a gory film. just realllly jumpy! hehe... watch out if your alarm clock switches to 60:00 and starts playing the carpenters.... then you KNOW you're freakin haunted!! oh and if your hotel room suddenly puts chocolates on your pillow when you're back's turned? you're in for a bad night hehehehe

i promise thats the last time i say/write that... EVER! lol

i am KNACKERED! iv successfully avoided nappin all day in an attempt to regain some semblance of a sleeping pattern so once iv done this im grabbing a shower then im retiring to bed with a mug of proper hot choccy and a book.

haha sounds awfully close eh? dads buyin my ticket tuesday (£507 return! eek! AND from frickin heathrow! bugger) n jades lookin up health insurance for me. iv bought everything i needed apart from food bits n some new trainers (altho im hoping to find a good deal on trainers up at grans next week - she doesnt half have a nose for a decent discount store!!) aaand thats about it. must admit im sorta kinda realllllllllly hoping mum/gran/both are intending on giving me some going away money coz somehow i dont think £250 is gonna cut it! *sigh dads giving me some too but hes already buying my flight so i feel mean begging set-up money off him too! even if i AM gonna start repaying him almost immediately! oh and how am i going to fit enough clothes, shoes, neccessaries, books, cds, dvd, laptop and dancewear into 30kg of luggage allowance??? ack needs to find me a big ole box to fill with 'crap il need eventually but not immediately when im in canada'!

so much to organise.... so little time to do it!

but im still hella excited. XD

yawwwwwwwwwwwn!! im still not sleeping too good but luckily today it doesn't matter so much. I'm intending to avoid napping so im so damn tired by tonight i wont have much choice but to sleep!

anyhoo iv been having a sort of half-arsed LOTR marathon this weekend - on return of the king now and eagerly awaiting my favourite shot of aragorn and legolas jumping off the boat all yummy n heroic-like. teehee

been busy making new cards and things for etsy - im being a good tactitian and posting each of them seperately and at hour intervals (you get featured more if you post seperately rather than all in one go) and I might make some more later today. depends.

yesterday was cool! didn't buy anything in town but it was good seeing stacey again and chatting about stuff - its funny how people some people change dramatically after school and others don't change at all! bless she's still hanging around in st faiths with all the people we used to know from school although i was kinda surprised at how grown up she was! i guess getting a fiance with a 3 yr old kiddie attached would calm down any 23yr old!! but she seems happy so good luck to her i say.

mum's coming to pick me up sometime after 3 to go do another drama workshop week. woo! i really enjoyed the first one so this one ought to rock too. i hope the weather stays nice though coz i liked mine and mum's little beachy outings after the classes! :D

oh and funny episode of the weekend:
owen came home completely bladdered last night after deciding he couldn't be arsed to go get more milk and went out drinking instead... 1. its his loss because there won't be enough milk left for his breakfast and 2. he was up at 8am this morning throwing his guts up with what sounded like the mother of all hangovers. in all possible senses of the word... HA HA!

Just got a call from laurie saying they've found a loophole and I dont' need a work permit after all!! I'm just looking for a flight now but I'm leaving the first week of september! :D

I'm so excited!! But slightly daunted too as they're all getting very excited about me going over there - they're putting my picture and details in their local paper and she's had tonnes of phonecalls asking about registration for next term! Apparently Laurie is part of a parent group that organises and pays for the dance lessons so... get this.... i'm practically getting to run my own studio!!! I can do whatever I like! They do a lot of competitions so now I have to organise choreography for groups of kids ages 4-17 in about 6 disciplines for competition level! I've no idea what level they're at, no idea what they're used to or anything...

But heyy i do like a challenge!! ;D

I don't suppose anyone has taken part in dance competitions/festivals and could give me a few pointers could they???

Ohhhh yeah you heard me!!

I got an email from another lady today who runs a studio called Repertoire Dance in High Prairie, Alberta asking if I was interested. It's teaching ballet, tap, jazz/hip hop (not entirely sure which - i HOPE its jazz not hip hop coz I'll need someone to give me a bit of a hippity hoppity make over! im not exactly the smoothest hip hop girly ever! hehe) and lyrical. 20-25 hours a week, we're negotiating salary at the moment and this time I've forwarned her about the visa things and i actually know what happens (more or less) so it should go a lot smoother this time.

And i've explained about whitehorse-gate so hopefully she won't be so cruel as to make history repeat itself.

She's also offered to help me get other part time work in the area (apparently there's a bit of a lack of empolyees in High Prairie - apparently the little house people are understaffed... and thats my first and last joke in that area!! haha) and I'm sure she'll help me find an appartment too.

*crosses fingers, toes, legs, arms, boobs and hairs on head*

No i didnt know i could cross my boobs either!! teehee

anyhoo i'm trying hard not to get TOO excited just yet but lets just keep on hoping that history won't repeat itself!! :)

*oh look at that! i bounced back!!*

alrighty SO iv had a hot chocolate (with far too much cream but nevermind) and iv had time to think out a half decent plan of action.

*i am literally going to email/snail mail EVERY DANCE STUDIO IN VICTORIA, the ISTD in canada and apply to a couple I spotted in DTOL looking for work.

*I'm also going to post another advert explaining what I'm looking for on DTOL because that was how I got the job/job offers last time.

*Then I'm going to go out to Victoria for a month in September for a holiday and to take my mind off things and hopefully arrange some interviews whilst I'm there.

*THEN if I get anything out of all that I'll come home, sort out my visa and go back and if not? Well sod it there are plenty of frickin jobs in the UK... i can apply for one of those whilst i save up some money and continue looking for one in canada.

*oh yeah and now i can send in my video for cirque du soleil ;)

I shall not be defeated by a ~~bad man and a stick insect~~ evil job stealer and decietful potential employer!!

although if anyone feels like sending me massive amounts of chocolate that is also fine - i cant eat em all at once but i CAN have one a day. ;D hint hint
