Boy Scouts Troop Donation Boxes Pulled for Implied “pro-war” Message…

•November 24, 2007 • Leave a Comment

Weasel Zippers has a great post on the recent story about some Boy Scouts who were used as pawns by the anti-war, anti-American crowd in the recent elections. I know, I know!! This isn’t exactly today’s news, or is it? Go read his post, Boy Scouts Troop Donation Boxes Pulled for Implied “pro-war” Message…, and see just how far the left is willing to go to undermine freedom in America!!

Since the sixties these traitors have used our universities to spread their failed ideology. This past year, Code Pink announced the formation of summer camps to teach our high school kids how to practice the same “civil disobedience” they taught our college kids. They may have made a grievous tactical error in their movement when they had those Boys Scouts removed. One can only hope! Go read Weasel Zippers’ post!

Take Your Utopic F***ing BS and Stuff It

From AmeriCAN-DO Attitude comes a great post,
Take Your Utopic F***ing BS and Stuff It
. Please bear with me patting myself on the back a little as he references one of my past posts. It appears more and more people are becoming aware, and speaking out, about the socialists involvement and goals in the anti-war effort in America! Sooner or later, treason always shows its true colors! People in America value their rights and freedom too much to ever swallow the “swill” the left is attempting to sell in America!

The Enemy Within – Another Person’s Point of View!

•November 23, 2007 • 2 Comments

I want to point out a really great post by another blogger, TRM at I Hate Hillary.com. The post, The Traitors in Our Midst, talks about the Socialists effort to take over America and their collusion with Radical Islam. Here is an excerpt:

Be careful what you wish for.

The Socialist(D) are actively seeking our surrender to radical Islam. The weapon of choice used by the enemy within (D) is incessant media coverage slanted to make our military look like oil hungry marauders, raping and pillaging at every opportunity. Have they forgotten the attack on our own soil in 2001? Have they forgotten the images of Americans being beheaded for Radical Islam propaganda? Are they deaf to the repeated promise by Radical Islam that calls for the destruction of the West and Israel? Correction, anyone including fellow Muslims, not bowing to their distorted, antiquated view of Islam. I say promise when most would say threat. Its not a threat people, its a promise that is actively being fulfilled in more ways than you know. I beg of you, stop treating those that wish to kill us with “kids gloves” and Political Correctness. Call a rabid dog a rabid dog and put it down. Its either us or them. Avenues of surrender and appeasement will NOT work, it will only serve to make us look weak and invite our demise.

Why the California State Legislature doesn’t support the troops

What is the National Guard? According to “The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition,” the National Guard is “The military reserve units controlled by each state of the United States, equipped by the federal government and subject to the call of either the federal or the state government”.

Of all our Armed Forces, the National Guard is the oldest, tracing its history all the way back to before the American Revolution to our earliest settlers. In the days of the early settlers, there was no military presence. This was a new land full of explorers and newly arrived settlers. But there were no big cities and towns with local governments and a main central government. These were all things yet to come.

Those men who were able served in the militias to protect the settlers from Indian attacks. Later, they would also provide protection against foreign invaders and defend the Colonies in the American Revolution.

The colonial militias protected their fellow citizens from Indian attack, foreign invaders, and later helped to win the Revolutionary War. Following independence, the authors of the Constitution empowered Congress to “provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining the militia.” However, recognizing the militia’s state role, the Founding Fathers reserved the appointment of officers and training of the militia to the states. Today’s National Guard still remains a dual state-Federal force.

I hear a lot of talk all the time about how the guard is being called up for Iraq and Afghanistan and that leaves them unable to provide emergency service s at home. Nothing could be further from the truth. During Katrina, the Guard [50,000] was there even though many of its members had lost their homes. I personally know there were Guard members and former Guard members who came from all over the United States “in their own” to help during that tragedy and helped out. Some were fortunate enough to receive aid and support with vehicle problems that they encountered. Others were ostracized by ant-war hecklers! They still donated their services.

In the 1900’s, the active military was not a large body. The guard filled the gap needed for our conflict with Mexico, early stages of the Civil War,and the Spanish American War. The National Guard, the new name for the militias, became a reserve force for the Army in 1903. This was dine by an act of Congress through national defense legislation. The National Guard played a crucial role in WWI and WWII. They were 40% of the fighting force in WWI and the first to be sent to the front in WWII.

The Air National Guard was formed after WWII. Many of the units in that Air National Guard existed all the way back to WWI. The Cold War, the Berlin Crisis, Korea, Vietnam, and Desert Storm all were fought with elements of the National Guard alongside our regular Army and other forces. They have also been in Bosnia, Kosovo, Haiti, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Not only have they fought in these wars they also go out on humanitarian crisis worldwide.

“Today, tens of thousands of Guardmembers are serving in harm’s way in Iraq and Afghanistan, as the National Guard continues its historic dual mission, providing to the states units trained and equipped to protect life and property, while providing to the nation units trained, equipped and ready to defend the United States and its interests, all over the globe”.

When the forest fires recently devastated areas of California the Guard was there working side by side with other rescue and emergency services. Over the years the California Guard was there for its citizens providing rescue services, first aid, clean up, passing out food, whatever other help was needed. The Guard has provided assistance in times of need after earth quakes, fires, floods, mudslides, and any other natural or man made disaster.

Of the 50 states in the United States, California is the only state that will does not provide tuition assistance to its Guard members. The California National guard is the smallest unit p[er capita of any guard unit in the 50 states , 1 for every 1,900 Californians or 20,000 members as of May 15, 2007 according to the Los Angeles Times in their report called, “Give back to the National Guard”.

The California Guard is supposedly the most active of all the 50 states. But, California is having problems keeping personnel in the Guard. It is also having trouble recruiting new Guard members. One of the things most Guard members want is Tuition Aid from their state so they can go to college.

Repeatedly the California State Senate fails to approve legislation that would provide tuition aide for its National Guard. According to the LA Times article:

“The risk of being deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan has made Guard service significantly less attractive than it used to be. But the one benefit recruits want most, according to the Guard’s commanders, is state aid for college. Although the state Senate Veterans Affairs Committee approved a tuition proposal in April, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s budget request for assistance has run into a brick wall in the chamber.”

On Fox Cable yesterday the reporters who discussed the situation in California reported that the cost of providing $7,000.00 dollars/year for each Guard member for tuition aide was $0.06 per person per year. Such a small sacrifice for those who give so much.

So, what’s the big deal. Well, some members of the state legislature say the bills sent to them are poorly written and countless other ridiculous reasons for failing to pass the needed legislation. However members in the legislature say the real reason is the fact that most legislators are against the war. They see passing such legislation as an indirect show of their support.

I find this appalling. I also find it indirect conflict with the constant litany of California legislators who claim, “I support the troops. I just don’t support the war!” So Guard members are not staying in a a rate needed to keep the California Guard member level high enough to do all the is necessary for it to serve and protect local state citizens or meet its Federal responsibilities to serve and protect our nation! Actually, the California Guard size is steadily dwindling in the face of future natural disasters and continued need at a federal level to help defend our nation.

Presently, the National Guard is becoming essential here at home as part of the Homeland Security effort to protect the home front! Again, according to the LA Times:

“The alarming decline in the Guard’s ranks has real consequences — equipment once assigned here is moving to other states. That’s a problem lawmakers need to solve now, before the next major disaster.”

On a final note, I find it appalling that Californians are so short sighted. Not only are they not looking out for their own they are creating a very dangerous situation in their own future. If the present trend in the California National Guard continues, who will respond to the large number of natural disasters that California faces every year? Do you suppose they expect a bailout? The actios of the California lawmakers is negligent in the extreme!

Maybe they can farm out the rescue operations and other tasks to all the illegal aliens to whom they give safe haven!

To the “do nothing Congress”: “Do you damn jobs or get voted out!!”

Sgt. Eddie Ryan and Mother

Marine Sgt. Eddie Ryan with his mom Angie outside of Helen Hayes Hospital after receiving his Purple Heart Medal.

Today I got an update on a post about one of my favorite people I like to write about, Sgt. Eddie Ryan.

BrianJ from Pine Bush
I visited Eddie last week, bring him his piece of the Marine Corps birthday cake. (A Marine tradition). He looks great – has lost weight – and has challenged me to do the same! His progress is amazing. He told me abpout runs with his dad, warned me that drinking beer would dehydrate me – he is everything the MArine Corps is about. His family continues to awe me with their faith and dedication to helping Eddie get better.

The VA continues to make recovery difficult – cutting therapy sessions back because, in the words of a doctor who never saw Eddie – “He has reached a plateau”. EVERY time I visit Eddie he has improved. Please led your Senators and Congresspeople know – we MUST take care of those who have paid the price for our freedoms. Pro-war or anti-war, we all owe these young veterans our thanks and our loyalty. SEMPER FIDELIS!

Nov 18, 9:49 AM

There is a site dedicated to helping Eddie Ryan. The site is called Help Eddie Ryan. There is a Pay Pal link on the site. I am sure the family always is in need of financial help. What the CA doesn’t cover is absorbed by the family. But Eddie needs other help too as you can see from Brian’s comments.

Eddie has had to fight for all the help he has gotten from the VA. Red tape and lack of training of states side VA doctors have been a constant battle. Our soldiers are coming home now with severe brain injuries and other severe trauma injuries that the VA isn’t equipped to handle.

The emergency treatment in the field, the new advances those doctors in the field and Germany have developed are saving lives of young men and women that previously would not have had a chance before. These advances have not just been in brain injuries but other previously fatal injuries.

In the two terms of the last administration military spending was constantly cut and added to domestic problems at home. This process of taking away from our military began after the end of Vietnam and continued over the years. However, Bernie Sanders, under Clinton, did all but strip it to the bones! Even now as we are at war with an enemy that means to destroy us and all we represent, Congress is playing politics with the military spending money.

Wars area terrible thing. They destroy nations. They eat up natural resources, the greatest of which is the young men and women of nations! It is criminal and negligent in the extreme to deny money needed for our troops and their families. The Democrats, led and controlled by the socialists, are determined to undermine our military and thus our troops. They want to tell the Generals how to fight the war. They want, in violation of the separation of powers in the Constitution, to tell the President how to fight the war!

T he Congress, again the socialists, want to pullout now. Just when the war is finally being won, they want to hold back funds for a time table to withdraw. Worse yet, they want to do this by the end of next year if not sooner. They want to approve a military spending budget in a piecemeal fashion, four months now, who knows how much time next time, every two months. This is absurd. This is a recipe for failure. Failure is exactly what they want. They want us to lose.

Don’t let Eddie down. Don’t let all our other injured down! Don’t let those in the field down! Don’t let those who have died, have died in vain. You don’t send troops to war without enough money to cover their medical treatment, their material needs, the needs of their families, and Generals and a President held hostage by a socialist Congress with an agenda other than defending our nation and helping another nation be free and Democratic.

Now the cowards can’t get their bills through Congress so they want to pick up their marbles like those “sissies” we called each other as kids! How else to describe their behavior. The Congress has taken the cowardly way out and is refusing to submit another bill until after the holidays even though our troops desperately needs the funding. Worse yet, they are supporting our enemy though their inaction by the morale boost the enemy will get from their treasonous conduct. Our Congress, those Dems- socialists who are trying to paralyze our military and troops and effectively make them impotent don’t know anything about our troops!

If they did, they would know our troops will simply thumb their noses at them and go about the business of serving and protecting. You better bet on election day, it will not be forgotten that this Congress tried to F#@k our troops and their Commander-in-Chief! I know I won’t forget.

So, those of you out there who support our troops, write your lawmakers. Make sure they don’t forget Eddie and all the other injured. Make sure they don’t forget our troops in the field. Make sure those who have died, didn’t die for nothing. Tell Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Dick Schumer, and all those other socialists S.O.B.’s in Congress their actions or I should say in-action will not be forgotten.

Any troops who die on the field of battle as they play with the troops welfare and safety will be as if Congress itself pulled the trigger!! Send letters. Send emails. Call them. When they return, make sure they return to our scorn and contempt for their failure to pass the spending bill and for their failure to provide Eddie and all our injured with what they need.

No more talk! No more lies! No more anything but action. Do your damn jobs or we the people, will vote your @$$e$ out of office.

Does the United Nations Advance the Cause of Freedom?

•November 18, 2007 • Leave a Comment

I found a great new blog today. TRM has a blog called D=S [democrat=socialist]. From what I saw as I read hos posts he puts a great deal of work into researching his posts for validity. His post, Does the United Nations Advance the Cause of Freedom?, gives Mr. Bolton’s assessment of the U.N. in accurate, and somewhat dis-heartening detail! It discusses in detail such key issues as:

• United Nations reform
• U.N. efforts in development
• The U.N.’s record on terrorism and on proliferation It is a post that all Americans concerned about our own national sovereignty and world peace ought to read!!

Dems in Congress fail our troops and put them in harms way!

•November 17, 2007 • 13 Comments

The Republicans put forth a bill to fund the War in Iraq without any strings attached. It was defeated by the Democrats. The Democrats put forth a bill to fund the Iraq War with strings attached, one being the troops pull out by next December. Subsequently, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and, Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. pushed for the added strings.

Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif, said this week that if Congress cannot pass legislation that ties war money to troop withdrawals, they would not send President Bush a bill this year.

WARNING: If you are offended by strong language, stop here!!

What the hell is wrong with these people? Al-Qaida and the Taliban must be singing praises to Allah!! To begin with, they are affecting the safety and welfare of our troops and our nation’s ability to defend itself in a time of War. Those a$$holes are crazy! They ought to be charged with complicity in the death of every soldier that results from their negligent political pandering!! As far as I am concerned they are all guilty of aiding and abetting the enemy and the b@$t@rd$ ought to be charged with treason during a time of war.

The Democrats say that Bush and the DOD will have to juggle money from the DOD funds. However, that will be a problem of enormous consequences:

Pentagon chief Robert Gates warned on Thursday that without the money, he would shortly order plans to lay off civilian employees, terminate contracts and cut base operations.

The DOD funds are allocated. Taking funds from their budget will greatly impair our military if base operations are cut. Certainly it will affect military families already burdened . To make matters worse, this will put over 100,000 people out of work at Christmas time. It will affect countless military families at Christmas time. And, it will affect the ability to provide needed materials and supplies for our troops.

This comes at a time when the necessary equipment for our troops is finally beginning to arrive in the field that they need to survive and destroy the IEDs and other explosive devices that are killing most of our troops. Haven’t our troops suffered enough because of the political escapades of the socialists element trying to take over our government and our country?

What I want to know is this, what is wrong with mainstream America that they can’t see what the hell is happening right here at home under their very noses? Have we as a nation really become that lazy and complacent that we refuse to see we are in serious trouble from two very real enemies, radical Islamics and Socialists, who both want to destroy our freedoms and our Democracy. Are we going to just sit back on our lazy @$$e$ and do nothing.

Patrick Henry said, “give me liberty or give me death!”

Were he alive today he would hang his head in shame. I found a quote this week. I just can’t remember where. If anyone can tell me the source I’ll give proper credit. But,the quote is so profound, I simply had to use it here:

I leave you with this quote from General Giap of the Vietnam military and I urge all Americans to learn from history and take heed:

“What we still don’t understand is why you Americans stopped the bombing of Hanoi! You had us on the ropes. If you pressed us a little harder, just for another day or two, we were ready to surrender! It was the same at the battles of TET. You defeated us! We knew it, and we thought you knew it. But we were elated to notice your media were definitely helping us. They were causing more disruption in America than we could in the battlefields. We were ready to surrender. You had won!”

It is time, now to say loud and clear, “NOT AGAIN! NEVER AGAIN! We will not abandon our troops again!!!”
