Getting started with PayControl

PayControl is the User Interface for Banking.Live. It is an advanced browser portal providing information on cards and card transactions and is used for setting card parameters and card controls, creating new clients, adding new bins, products, fraud rules, notifications and fees, and viewing authorization/ settlement transaction messages on a granular level, among other features.

All other Banking.Live modules - PayPower, PayAPI, PaySchedular, PayKey and PayRoute, are backend services. PayControl is the only frontend Banking.Live service. It’s the only module that you and the monitoring team are given access to.

Additional PayControl functions

PayControl provides several other functions to users, depending on their user privileges:

• Management of role-based access control system for Paymentology users and clients.
• Client setup and extensive configuration of all the options available to the client, from product type/currency of settlement/financial network membership number to custom-built business rules and a variety of PayScheduler tasks, allowing for customer-specific customization and workflow path modification.
• Configuration of the reporting options and scheduling/viewing of on-demand reports.
• Includes a Transaction screen where all formats of ISO messages received from different schemes can be checked. Similarly, application logs from all the backend services (except PayRoute) can be viewed and analyzed.
• Detailed rules module within Transactions screen to view associated rule groups applied to particular transactions.
• Tokenization Lifecycle Management module to modify token status and view device binding data.
• PayAPI documents.
• Interface for viewing applications and API audit logs.

PayControl users can see transaction data but cannot see sensitive card information such as PAN's or PIN's.
