PayControl environment URL

Once you have been added as a user, you will receive the PayControl environment URL via email.

For PayControl sandbox and UAT environments this is https://uat.banking.live/paycontrol/.


Accessing PayControl for the first time

The steps for logging into PayControl for the first time are the same for both UAT and Production PayControl environments.

  1. First navigate to the PayControl URL. For UAT it's https://uat.banking.live/paycontrol/ and for Production you will receive the URL via email.
  2. Enter your email and the temporary password you received via email.
  3. Follow the prompts to change your temporary password to one of your choosing and set-up of two-factor authentication.

Configuring two-factor authentication

You will be required to set up a second factor authentication method upon logging in for the first time.

PayControl supports various two-factor authentication methods, including:

  • SMS
  • Authenticator App i.e. Microsoft, Google, Authy etc.
  • Email

Authenticator App is the preferred method by Paymentology.


Lost your login credentials?

  1. Navigate to the PayControl URL
  2. Click on Forgot Password?
  3. Enter the email associated with your account and click Save
  4. Enter the code from your chosen two-factor authentication method and click Save
  5. You will receive an email containing a password reset link and instructions to reset your credentials.

How do I gain access to PayControl?

All users need to be enrolled in the system before they can access and use PayControl.

You can enrol by submitting an Access to a Paymentology Service request via our Customer Support Portal and selecting PayControl as the service.


PayControl password requirements

The following details are password requirements:

  • Length: minimum 8 characters
  • Complexity: must include at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter and 1 number
  • Account lock: an account will be locked after 3 unsuccessful login attempts
  • Password reuse: accounts cannot reuse recent passwords
  • 2FA (Two Factor Authentication): required, you can read more here.

Paymentology maintains application and API audit logs. Each request is monitored including services called, date and time, user details, request and response data etc.
