Frequently Asked Questions | Dependable Energy
    Frequently Asked Questions
What payment methods does Dependable Energy accept?
Dependable Energy accepts multiple payment methods including major credit cards, checks, and electronic payments. For fuel delivery customers, we also offer budget plan billing to spread your costs over 12 equal monthly payments. Contact our office at (203) 758-5831 for details on accepted payment methods.
What is the budget plan and how does it work?
The budget plan estimates your annual fuel or service costs and divides that total into 12 equal monthly payments. This eliminates the seasonality of large one-time bills during peak winter months and makes budgeting easier year-round. An end-of-year settlement adjusts for any difference between estimated and actual usage.
Can I set up automatic payments?
Yes. Automatic payment options are available for recurring fuel delivery customers on budget plans. Ask our billing team at (203) 758-5831 to set up automatic payment from your bank account or credit card so you never have to worry about missing a bill.
When is payment due for service work?
For service and repair calls, payment is typically due upon completion of the work. For major installations, payment terms are discussed at the time of your estimate — some projects may require a deposit at signing with the balance due at project completion. All payment terms will be clearly stated in your written proposal.
Is there a late payment fee for fuel deliveries?
Late payment policies are outlined in your service agreement. We encourage customers to contact our billing department at (203) 758-5831 if they anticipate difficulty making a payment — we would rather work out a solution than let an account become overdue.
Who should I contact if I have a billing question?
For billing questions, contact our office directly at (203) 758-5831 or email office@dependableenergy.net. Our team is available during regular business hours and will address any billing questions or concerns as quickly as possible.
    Snowy driveway
    !

Ice and snow-covered driveways, walkways and paths present a real hazard to oil and propane trucks, along with their drivers. These conditions can make it impossible for us to deliver oil or propane to your home when scheduled.

Please maintain a 10' wide path in your driveway, clear of ice and snow, for our trucks.

A path should be cleared to your oil and propane fill location to ensure safe access and uninterrupted delivery service.

Thank you for your business and for your cooperation!
