Dented Brick® Chardonnay Barrel Finished Gin is an exceptional spirit that bridges the worlds of gin and fine wine. Starting with our award-winning, macerated gin, we rest the spirit in former-fill Chardonnay barrels sourced from Hell’s Canyon Winery in Idaho, allowing the oak to impart subtle layers of fruit, spice, and vanilla. The aging process draws out esters from the wine-soaked staves, infusing the gin with a delicate Chardonnay essence and a warm, complex structure reminiscent of a well-aged whiskey.
Every bottle reflects our commitment to craftsmanship and purity — brought to proof with Dented Brick’s proprietary artesian well water, sourced directly from Rocky Mountain snowmelt. This limestone-filtered, mineral-rich water is naturally chemical- and bacteria-free, forming the perfect foundation for a clean, balanced, and exceptionally smooth gin.
how it's made
Our Barrel Finished Gin begins with a botanical-rich macerated gin, distilled from a grain base of red winter wheat and pumpernickel rye. Once distilled, the gin is rested in former-fill Chardonnay wine barrels from Hell’s Canyon Winery, where it absorbs subtle wine and oak characteristics. Over time, the gin takes on aromas of butterscotch and vanilla honey, creating a layered flavor profile that blends the crispness of gin with the warmth of a fine barrel-aged spirit.
The process concludes with proofing using artesian water from Dented Brick’s on-site well — pure, limestone-filtered, and flowing directly from the aquifer beneath Salt Lake City. The result is a smooth, oak-kissed gin unlike any other.
TASTING NOTES
