So life has continued on. My mother is doing well even after she lost two toes on her remaining foot.

I am still saving up for a down payment on a house. I would like a small place of my own. I still work at House of Tropicals or as the coworkers call it.... "The Trap". I received another raise but unfortunately I received after being forced to work by myself in the evenings since my coworker was fired. I was told they had video or her stealing and physical proof so its been over 3 months and still no help.

My neighbors from hell on the left moved and left their house and yards filled with trash and animals. The roomie and I were feeding cats she left behind. I discovered that the original landlord who was doing "rent to own" with the neighbor came to the house and closed all opened windows and locked the doors because of the odors coming out of the house and accidentally locked cats in the house which I discovered after three days of not seeing the one female cat we call "Arian". Upon closer inspection I saw her locked in the house with "Bat Cat" (another kittie they left behind). I called the policed and it was a giant pain in the ass that ended with the landlord calling me and giving me the code to unlock the door. Arian came running out and I searched the entire house in the dark surrounded by roaches and nastiness that made me hurl not once but twice. I borrowed a cat trap from a coworker and after two days caught Bat Cat and a day later the roommate rescued 3 kittens from the house. All were taken by Animal control except Arian and Tommy (another of their left behind cats) and they run and hide during the day and next to impossible to catch at night. We still feed both and hopefully one day we can catch them to get them their shots and spayed/neutered.

I now have a total of four snakes; Sabbath, Uta and Valentine and my newest Eros named for Yuri On Ice!!!. I hope to eventually put Eros and Valentine together in the hopes of trying to breed them. Eros is a lovely jerk who won't eat but that is the joy of ballpythons. Valentine now eats frozen mice like a champ.

I also have pets rats once more. I have Lafayette, Eric, Bill and Sookie. They are all sweet hearts and keep me sane. Oh and I once again have taken in an elderly hamster I've name Shirogane AKA Shiro from my new love of Netflix's Voltron.

I am not doing any cons this year and I put money into my first cruise. I also got my first passport. In October my sister and I are flying to Orlando for two days so that I can get my fill of Harry Potter land and then we are driving to Cruise which will go to Ochos Rios Jamaica, Cozumel Mexico and then the Caymen Islands. I can't wait~!!!!!!

I've started talking to a new guy and we get along pretty well. We're taking things slow and I appreciate it.

Maryland has changed their masstransit name and with it their bus routes. It has been a nightmare getting to and from work and so I've cut back my spending and my new raise is helping me to Uber to the lightrail and uber home on nights I don't have a ride from either my sister or roommate.

After my vacation I'm going to start saving for a car and make myself take drivers ed again since my certificate is old and probably no longer valid and then I'll go retest for my learners. It's time I make myself more independant, Cars are costly but I can use the extra hour it takes to get to work to perhaps work overtime to pay for it since my bosses don't care and I work when I'm there.

I have two credit cards working on a third which I keep paid off so that I can build credit for when I'm ready to buy a car and house. I'm forcing myself to do more to complete my goals in the hopes of bettering myself and my life.

Pain

So my scoliosis has flared once again thanks to my spine shifting and it is currently pinching my sciatic nerve causing my right leg to ache and my muscles to constantly be in a state of tenseness with constant charlie horses. I used my insurance at the chiropractor and it actually made the visit cheaper and got me free x-ray's so we can see how bad the shift is. Yeah... not looking forward to that.

I got adjusted and it managed to lessen the pain a bit but I am NOT pain free and I still have to work so the stress isn't helping and neither is the home life. The teen I live with is lazy..... and if she rolls her eyes at me one more time......

so today even though I would rather roll up in a ball and cry I am instead trying to adult and clean and take care of all the pets.

Mom Update.....

So my Mom just went back into surgery today. If the remainder of her leg is healed and there are no signs of infection then they will just pull skin over the bone and begin the cosmetic part so she can get a prosthetic.... if not more of her leg will have to be removed. So here's hoping that its clear of infection.

Air is being pressed out and then it stops.

I smile again and can't say why.

Little things scare me and then there's reassurance.

I hate the vulnerability but I wouldn't end it willingly.

A friend of mine was falsely brought up on charges by Anne Arundel County animal control. They made him turnover his rescues and then he willingly turned over pets (they told him it was in his best interests). He did so. They charged him for frozen snake food saying they were pets. They killed his snake by "accident" and now that he's had a trial and was found not guilty they won't give him his pets back even though they said they would. They're charging him room and board for each of his babies coming out to a grand total of $6,000! He had friends who are vets offer to take the pets off Animal Conrtols hands but they refused and now this bogus charging to get them back!

He just wants his babies back. Every dollar helps and if you could spread the word that would be awesome.

Life returns to normal

Comcon was fun. I had quite a bit of fun and got to enjoy the hot tube as well as the pool. I wanted to exercise but no one would join me and I hate being by myself. ;_;

We came home yesterday and then hot Pho noodles. I have lemon grass chicken and coconut boba. It was yummy. We headed home again and then I went to see Legion with Lee, Alex, Shannon, Ashely and Rob. The movie kind of sucked but hanging out with everyone was awesome.

Well I have to go to work now....
