"Whimsical and nostalgic. Painted and pixellated."

In the spirit of British landscape artists—your Constables, Turners, and Wilsons—this painting calls back to various well-known studies of breathtaking parts of the UK.

However, idyllic views such as these are rarely empty of modern human activity, with more popular areas likely to receive an overwhelming number of tourists.

In one sense, the androgynous and eponymous 'Visitor' can represent the viewer inspecting the painting or transported into the scene. In another, truer sense, they represent folk who just love to get in the way of a good view.
