Who needs sleep?
Roomie bonding night might have gotten a little out of hand last night, especially considering I don't remember how many drinks I had. Enough to start biting my nails, apparently - they're kind of shredded today - and certainly enough to make today a Red Ambulance day (still need to reinstate my extra icons to get that one back, phooey). It's going to be interesting, that's for sure.
Talking to
d_benway the other night made me realise I haven't updated on life things recently. So, to counter that, list time!
1) Health - is pretty good, atm. I went back to the doctor and we established that since the medication worked, it's likely I have an ulcer or something similar. She's basically given me the same medication to take on a 'as required' basis (which is good, since to take it daily would get expensive), and as long as I watch myself, things aren't too bad. The pain in my side still appears, but it's more like the after-effects of a stitch rather than the owie of before.
2) Job - remember that interview I was supposed to have this week? Yeah, Friday and still nada. Things are a bit busy - read, completely insane - for the policy part of the department, so it's not something I can nag about with people running around like headless chickens.
3) Guitar - comes and goes. Johnny and I are talking about actual lessons again, since it's been months since my last lesson. Good news is I'm starting to get faster with the chord changes.
4) Baseball - is my new summer love, even if the Jays are up and down in terms of performance.
5) Le Tour - Cadel Evans is having a brilliant race, and is fourth overall. I'm still sad over Stu, Robbie and Michael - Stuart O'Grady broke five ribs and punctured his lung with his crash, and Michael Rogers dislocated his shoulder and collarbone. Ow. There's also a lovely, lovely person putting Tour footage up on YouTube, since the SBS website is a it dodgy in terms of video actually working on my computer and only gives me the teeny tiny box to watch stuff in.
7) Dexcon - is in two weeks. *muppetflails*
8) This weekend - I'm going to London (ON) tonight with Mindy, Johnny and the roomie for Lee's housewarming party on Saturday. I got him a teapot. It will mean I'll be offline for the duration, although we're coming back earlier on Sunday than orignally planned. Andcynjen, thanks again for agreeing to check on the kits. Carrot onna stick is up on the shelf near the trades. ;)
